MATTEL PROMOTES FRANK FORETICH AND MILTON ZABLOW

 LOS ANGELES, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Mattel Inc. (NYSE: MAT) has promoted Frank Foretich to senior vice president-creative services, and Milton Zablow to senior vice president-sales for its Boys Toy, Preschool, Activity and Games categories.
 Previously vice president-creative services, Foretich, 47, joined the company in 1968 as a modelmaker trainee. Since that time he has held a variety of positions at Mattel, including manager-samples planning and control, director-promotional support, and vice president-visual merchandising services. Prior employers include Douglas Aircraft, the U.S. Army and TRW Systems.
 Foretich attended the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and Los Angeles Harbor College before receiving a bachelor's degree in engineering from UCSB in 1974.
 Zablow, 43, who most recently served as vice president-sales, joined Mattel in 1977 as supervisor-retail service. He subsequently held positions such as account manager, manager-district sales, director-field sales and key account sales director. He was previously employed by the NISCO Corp. and the New York City Board of Education.
 Zablow received a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in education from City College of New York in 1972 and 1975, respectively.
