 MASSIVE POWER INDUSTRY SHOW OPENS DEC. 4 IN TAMPA;
 SOLD-OUT POWER-GEN '91 TO HOST 7,000 AT CONVENTION CENTER
 More than 7,000 power generating industry officials will convene here in Tampa tomorrow for Power-Gen '91, the showcase event of the power industry.
 David I. Johnson, president of PennWell Conference & Exhibitions Co., the Houston-based event manager, reports a sell-out of exhibit space at the new Tampa Convention Center. "More than 450 power industry companies have reserved display space," he said.
 Power-Gen '91, the fourth annual power generation exhibition and conference, opens Wednesday, Dec. 4 and runs to Dec. 6. The conference portion includes a Wednesday morning keynote opening session plus presentations on a range of power industry topics featuring some 50 industry executives and technical experts.
 Among the keynote speakers are H.L. Culbreath, chairman of TECO Energy, Inc., Tampa; Vito Stagliano, associate deputy undersecretary of the U.S. Dept. of Energy, and Vitaly F. Sklarov, minister of the Ukrainian Ministry of Power and Electrification.
 Advance registrations include management and technical staffs of electric utilities, industrial plants, allied industries, and government from the U.S. and abroad, according to Johnson.
 Power-Gen '91 is the first large industrial trade show to visit the 200,000-square-foot Tampa Convention Center since its opening. Exhibitions such as this, common in Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, and other top convention cities, feature elaborate and informative equipment displays sometimes occupying several thousand square feet.
 Power-Gen '91 is sponsored by Electric Light & Power and Power Engineering, industry publications published by PennWell Publishing. Exhibit hours begin at 10 a.m. and extend to 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, 5 p.m. on Dec. 5, and 1 p.m. on Dec. 6. The show is not open to the general public.
