MARRIED 60 YEARS: BILL AND MYRTLE IANNUZZI.

Bill and Myrtle Iannuzzi of Northridge celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 19, 2000, at the Knollwood Country Club in Granada Hills with 60 guests attending.

Both Myrtle and Bill were born in New Jersey and attended the same elementary school elementary school: see school.  and high school. Each dated someone else, never noticing each other. After graduation Graduation is the action of receiving or conferring an academic degree or the associated ceremony. The date of event is often called degree day. The event itself is also called commencement, convocation or invocation. , Bill worked in a dairy store dairy store dairy (US) nMilchgeschäft nt  and Myrtle would shop there. Bill broke up with his girlfriend and Myrtle's boyfriend took a job out of town. Eventually Bill's and Myrtle's sisters decided to get them together with the pretense that she could teach Bill to dance. They finally dated and were married on Aug. 31, 1940.

The couple danced together for three years, until World War II. Bill was a ship's radio operator on the SS SeaTiger carrying troops to and from the European European

After the war, Bill and his brother opened a radio store selling radios and electric appliance. Then Bill opened a larger store to include television sets.

In 1959, Bill turned his store over to another brother and went to work for Bendix New Jersey (which became Allied Signal), first as a field engineer and then as a program manager in different states. In 1971, he accepted a transfer to California, retiring in 1994.
