MARRIED 50 YEARS BOLESLAW AND OLGA SURYNT.

Boleslaw and Olga Surynt of Canoga Park celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 20 with dinner at Brandywine Restaurant in Woodland Hills and a surprise reception at home with family and friends.

Olga met Boleslaw while visiting family in Chelmsford, England. They were introduced through Olga's sister Helen. Boleslaw went on to make frequent visits to see Olga in London. They were married nine months later in Braintree, England, on Oct. 21, 1950.

They moved to New Jersey in 1954, where Boleslaw worked as a sergeant security officer. Olga worked as an electronics assembly supervisor and later went on to work for General Electric. They moved to California 1979. Boleslaw currently works at Greenthumb Nursery.

Olga enjoys spending some of her free time knitting.

The Surynts feel their best reward in life is their family. They have two children: Richard Surynt of Bigfork, Mont., and Teresa Piwowarski of Vancouver, Wash. They also have six grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16. .

Joseph and Amelia Fasone of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 16. Nearly 200 friends and family flew in from as far away as Connecticut and Pennsylvania to join the couple for a formal reception at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills.

The celebration was in typical Italian style, including a band and Italian songs played on an Old World accordion.

Throughout their marriage, Amelia has been a full-time homemaker.

The Fasones are proud parents of two sons: Rocco Fasone of Granada Hills and Joseph Fasone of Northridge. They have six grandchildren.

BOYD AND ARLAYNE BROTHERTON

Family and friends joined Boyd and Arlayne Brotherton of Simi Valley for their renewal of marriage vows Marriage vows are promises a couple makes to each other during a wedding ceremony.

Civil ceremonies often allow couple's to choose their own vows, although many civil marriage vows are adapted from the traditional Catholic wedding vow "To have and to hold, from this day
 on Sept. 30. Dinner and dancing followed at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills in celebration of the couple's 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple met after being set up on a blind date by Arlayne's brother. They were both in the 11th grade and have not been apart since. They graduated from high school in 1949 and were married Sept. 30, 1950, in Burbank.

Arlayne graduated from Burroughs High School in Burbank. She retired as a secretary for the Los Angeles Unified School District The Los Angeles Unified School District (the "LAUSD") is the largest (in terms of number of students) public school system in California and the second-largest in the United States. Only the New York City Department of Education has a larger student population. . She currently volunteers at Simi Adventist Hospital and at St. Rose Catholic Church.

 and is a retired Hughes Market manager. He is active in the Knights of Columbus Knights of Columbus, American Roman Catholic society for men, founded (1882) at New Haven, Conn. (where its headquarters are still located), by Father Michael J. McGivney. , where he is a Deputy Grand Knight.

The Brothertons enjoy camping at Pismo Beach. Boyd bowls twice a week, while Arlayne is busy with crafts such as sewing, painting, knitting, crocheting and stained glass stained glass, in general, windows made of colored glass. To a large extent, the name is a misnomer, for staining is only one of the methods of coloring employed, and the best medieval glass made little use of it. .

The Brothertons have three children: Judi Kent of Newbury Park; Rick Brotherton of Simi Valley and Jill Quercio of Victorville. They have nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
