He worked as a background singer on Red Skelton's show and on Donny and Marie Osmond's show. They have four children: Paul Brown of Sherman Oaks, Kathy Babylon of Agoura Hills, Laureen Brown of North Hollywood and Jeffry Brown of Austin, Texas. They also have six grandchildren.
