Marilyn and Ralph Oliva of Woodland Hills celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and friends on July 12 at home.

Tourism and retailing are important, and the city has motion-picture, biotechnology, and software industries. , dated for 1 1/2 years before their engagement, and were married July 4, 1953, at St. Joan of Arc Joan of Arc, Fr.  in 1949 and from Santa Monica City College in 1951. She worked as a homemaker.

Ralph graduated from Huron High School Huron High School may refer to:
  • Huron High School, Ann Arbor, Michigan
  • Huron High School, Huron, Ohio
 in Huron, S.D., in 1947 and from the South Dakota School of Mines in 1951. He worked as an engineer at Lockheed, Northrop, Atomics International and Rockwell Corp. He retired in 1988 after 28 years with Rockwell.

They have four children: Nancy Horrell of Winnetka, John Oliva of West Hills, Dan Oliva of Santa Monica and Mary Dawson of Acton. They also have 10 grandchildren.
