MARRIED 50 YEARS: FRANK AND MARY ANN MEYERS.

Family joined Frank and Mary Ann Meyers Ann Elizabeth Meyers (born March 26, 1955 in San Diego, California) is a distinguished figure in the history of women's basketball and sports journalism. A standout player in high school, college, the Olympic Games, international tournaments, and the professional levels, she is one  of Northridge to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 27 with a dinner party.

The two met while working at Campbell's Soup Co. and were married on Jan. 27, 1951, at Freeport Boulevard Christian Church in Sacramento.

Mary Ann attended McClatchy High School in Sacramento and received her associate's degree as·so·ci·ate's degree

An academic degree conferred by a two-year college after the prescribed course of study has been successfully completed.
 in accounting from Sacramento Junior College. She went on to be a full-time mother.

Frank attended Roseville High School Roseville High School is one of many schools in the Roseville Joint Union High School District. This school is located at #1 Tiger Way, Roseville, California 95678. This school has about 2,000 students and is growing exponentially. The current principal as of 2006 is Brad Basham.  in Roseville and received a degree in physics from Sacramento State University and his master's at UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles

. He went on to work as a physicist for Hughes Aircraft Hughes Aircraft Company was a major aerospace and defense company founded by Howard Hughes. The group was based near Ballona Creek, in Culver City, California, USA, on the Pacific Coast.

Hughes Aircraft was acquired by General Motors in 1985.

Mary Ann enjoys working on stained glass stained glass, in general, windows made of colored glass. To a large extent, the name is a misnomer, for staining is only one of the methods of coloring employed, and the best medieval glass made little use of it.  as well as sewing while Frank enjoys hiking and mountain climbing.

The Meyerses have done some extensive traveling including driving to Alaska and Panama. They've been to India, Europe, China, Australia and are planning trips to Africa and a Caribbean cruise with their family.

They have four children: Diane Pullen of West Hills, Nancy Ranieri of Chatsworth, Linda Short of Reseda and Ralph Meyers of Studio City. They have four granddaughters.

MARRIED 50 YEARS: EMIL AND JOYCE PESHEK

Family traveled from as far as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to join Emil and Joyce Peshek of Sun Valley in celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 27 at McCarthy Terrace in Tujunga. The original maid of honor and best man attended the affair.

The two met at a dance in Pasadena and married on Jan. 27, 1951. They've been dancing ever since.

Joyce was born in Wisconsin. She worked for the first few years of their marriage, then stayed home to raise her children.

Emil was born in Pennsylvania. He served in the Navy during World War II and later worked for the Department of Water and Power for 35 years.

Joyce's hobbies include fishing, bowling, sewing and playing cards. Emil enjoys traveling and playing tennis and currently belongs to the Valley Organ Society.

They have five children: Alan Peshek of Sun Valley, Joy Sofer sofer
