MARRIED 50 YEARS: DOUGLAS AND DODIE PETTIBONE.Byline: - Elizabeth Rodriguez Douglas and Dodie Pettibone of Woodland Hills celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 13 at their Oxnard beach home with family. Doug and Dodie met at a party in 1949 and married on Oct. 6, 1951, in Sherman Oaks. Doug is a California native who studied at Van Nuys High School Van Nuys High School (VNHS) established in 1914, is a high school in the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles, California, belonging to the Los Angeles Unified School District: District 2. . He likes to golf, fish and also spend time with his sons and grandchildren. The Pettibones bought their first home in Van Nuys. In 1963 they moved to Woodland Hills and have lived there since. They have three sons: John Pettibone John Pettibone is the current vocalist for Seattle metal/hardcore band Himsa. Before joining up with the band for the 2001 release of the "Death Is Infinite" EP, Pettibone was the lead vocalist for Undertow, a straight edge hardcore band which was also based out of Seattle. and Doug Pettibone Jr., both of Woodland Hills; and Ron Pettibone of Oxnard. They have three grandchildren. MARRIED 65 YEARS: JACK AND VIVIAN SINGER Jack and Vivian Singer of Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown. celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 18 with a family dinner. They married Oct. 18, 1936, in Cleveland. Vivian was raised in Cleveland. After moving to Los Angeles, she worked part-time as a secretary. She loves playing card games. One of her favorite places to visit Places to Visit (1999) is an EP released by British group Saint Etienne. It showed the band moving toward the experimental electronic sound that they would perfect on their next official full-length, 2000's Sound of Water. is Las Vegas. Jack also grew up in Cleveland, where he worked as an engineer at Case Western University. In Los Angeles he worked at Air Fan Engineering Co., and later owned Air Dynamics. The Singers have two children: Sheila Fueist of Thousand Oaks and Sanford Singer of Irvine. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
