CORRECT me if I am wrong, but it seems England will only be taking one player to the World Cup this summer.
David Beckham is apparently playing every position for the team, driving the bus, washing the kit and putting up the nets, given the endless debate about his foot.
If I were Michael Owen, Paul Scholes or Steven Gerrard, I'd be scratching my head in disbelief. They are good players, but you'd forget that after the past week.
Yes, he will be missed if he is still injured, but one man doesn't make a team.
And who should replace Beckham if he is not available? I'd go for Darren Anderton because he is in good form and has played in big tournaments before. But the sooner Beckham is back, the better, so we can all go on with our lives.
