Lisa A. Parnagian has joined the Manhattan Mortgage Company as a loan originator and account executive, announced Melissa Cohn, chairman and chief executive officer of the firm.

Prior to joining Manhattan Mortgage, Parnagian served as a mortgage originator and vice president for the New York offices of the Boston Company. At Manhattan Mortgage, she will advise clients on the full spectrum of loan alternatives, and will specialize in crafting loan solutions for high net worth individuals.

In serving her clients, Parnagian draws from 17 years experience in the residential lending field. In addition to working for the Boston Company, Parnagian held the position of senior loan officer at the Fairfield, Conn. offices of BancBoston Mortgage Corp.

Parnagian earned her B.A. from Clark University in Worcester, Mass.

Houlihan/Lawrence Inc. announced that Diane Cummins has been named "Realtor of the Year for Putnam County" by the National Association of Realtors.

The award is presented to a realtor who has devoted significant time to the local board of realtors, working on issues that benefit the realtor community.

In addition Cummins, an associate broker at the firm's Somers office, has been elected vice president for the Putnam County Association of Realtors, where she has been a board member for the past two years.

Cummins has been involved in the residential real estate business for almost 15 years, beginning her career with Harvest Realty in Mahopac, which was later taken over by Houlihan/Lawrence. In 1998, she moved from the Mahopac office to Somers.

Prior to her real estate career, Cummins worked as a theatrical agent in Manhattan for 15 years, representing actors like Tom Cruise and Andrea McArdle, the original star of "Annie."

Peter Schwartz of Fromme Schwartz Newman Corricello L.L.P., Ralph Cruz, Erni Umahi and R. Y. Management Co. Inc. received awards from the Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Schwartz received the 2000 Friend of IREM Award for the role he played in organizing the reception of a delegation from Japan.

The others were honored for their work in the industry, support of the New York Chapter throughout the year, and efforts in maintaining the professionalism and high standards of IREM.

R. Y. Management Co. Inc. and Umahi received IREM's 2000 Accredited Management Organization of the Year Award, and Cruz received IREM's 2000 Certified Property Manager of the Year Award.

Integrity Office Solutions announced the appointment of Kim L. Johnson to senior vice president of West Coast operations. Johnson will work out of IOS' Silicon Valley office in Santa Clara, Calif. and assume responsibility for project management and operations. He will report directly to the president of the firm.

Johnson brings a substantial breadth of experience in corporate real estate development to his new position. Over the past decade, he has been affiliated with Genesis Health Ventures, Inc., based in Kennett Square, Penn.

From 1990 to 1999, he served as vice president of real estate development and director of the Genesis Development Group simultaneously. His direct management responsibilities included analyzing, recommending, and implementing facility and location decisions, as well as managing nationwide construction activities for the corporation and third-party clients.

During his tenure at Genesis Health Ventures, Johnson developed a wide range of real estate projects, encompassing buildings from 100,000 to 750,000 square feet in size, with values ranging from S 10 to $92 million.

For the past year, Johnson has provided real estate development consulting services to Genesis ElderCare Network Services, to facilitate the company's acquisition, construction, and renovation of corporate projects, office facilities, manufacturing plants, data centers, multi-family communities, and senior residences.

Gregg Winter, president of Winter & Company, announced the appointment of Mitchell Draizin as executive vice president and Henry Berliss as vice president.

As principal and managing partner of the firm, Draizin has developed commercial and residential real estate in New York, Connecticut, and Maryland. Before joining Winter & Company, he served as the managing director for Parallel Capital Corporation, where he was instrumental in product development and distribution through a national network of brokers and affiliate companies.

His experience in marketing, organizational, and administrative matters is helping to support the continued growth of Winter & Company. Draizin is a licensed New York State real estate broker.

Berliss has been active in commercial real estate finance and development since 1972. He has developed extensive contacts with borrowers, many of whom he represents on an exclusive basis, as well as with a broad array of lenders that includes insurance companies, pension funds, banks, and private lenders.

In addition to his activities in the New York area, Berliss is active throughout the country. In 2000 he closed $27,000,000 worth of financings in Colorado, $13,250,000 in Ohio, and $3,500,000 of loans and sales in Florida. Berliss is a licensed New York State real estate broker and has taught in the diploma program at New York University's Real Estate Institute.

Beverly Lynn Diamond has joined Nancy Peck & Company, LLC, as executive vice president. She will be responsible for directing the company's new business development, managing special projects, and marketing the expansion of the tenant relocation services.

Prior to joining Nancy Peck & Company, Diamond was vice president at Christie's, where she was responsible for corporate real estate in North and South America, as well as for site selection, direct lease negotiations, the review and evaluation of development contracts for a 300,000-square-foot North American headquarters, and management of construction of office, auction facilities, and galleries across the country.

Diamond graduated magna cum laude from Herbert H. Lehman College in New York, with a B.S. in accounting and a B.A. in public and group communications. She is a licensed New York State real estate broker, a member of the Association of Real Estate Women and of Chicago's Institute of Real Estate Management, and a candidate for certified property manager designation.

Douglas Elliman announced that Andrew Gerringer has been named executive vice president.

Gerringer, previously senior vice president, will continue to oversee Douglas Elliman's development marketing group and the investment sales divisions. Gerringer and his team work with developers and owners to help maximize the value of each project they are involved with, including converting rental buildings to condominium ownership and office or loft buildings to condominiums, as well as marketing new construction projects and consulting on the initial phases of the development process.

Gerringer and the Douglas Elliman development marketing group become involved with the design and planning of each project, including the marketing, advertising and public relations campaigns. The goal is to shape the developer's vision into a product that is appropriate for a particular target market.

Gerringer is spearheading the sales and marketing effort for the Atalanta Building at 25 N. Moore Street in TriBeCa, 240 East 10th Street in Greenwich Village, 217 East 7th Street in the East Village, and 190 Riverside Drive and 455 Central Park West in the Upper Westside, among others.

Gerringer also assists developers, owners and investors in acquiring and selling properties. Gerringer recently served as broker for the sale of 150 Fifth Ave., a 200,000-square-foot office building in the Flatiron District, and 65 E. 96th Street, a 60-unit pre-war residential rental building that is being converted to condominiums. He was responsible for the sale of the 40,000-square-foot Ritz Tower commercial condominium unit at 57th Street and Park Avenue to the Jamestown Group, and the sale of a 70-acre development site in White Plains to national developers Toll Brothers.

Benjamin H. Mahler has joined In-signal/ESG as senior vice president and general counsel. Mahler will be responsible for the company's legal affairs on a national basis.

Mahler was formerly with Park Tower Realty Corp. for 13 years, where he most recently served as senior vice president and general counsel. In that capacity, he supervised and provided counsel for all of the functions involved in managing the firm's portfolio, including leasing, financing, risk management, operations, and tenant relations.

He also played a central role in property acquisitions, property financing, venture structuring, construction, leasing, and property disposition.

Prior to that, he practiced real estate law at Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler, where he provided counsel for a long list of clients, including Olympia & York, Meringoff Properties, Trizec, Merrill Lynch, and Equitable Life.

Mahler, who resides in Garden City, N.Y. received his B.A. from Hofstra University and his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law, where he was associate editor of St. John's Law Review.
