Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers of Livingston, N.J. has appointed of Vladimir Ayzenberg as a mechanical engineer. In this capacity, Ayzenberg will be responsible for project engineering for the design of HVAC, as well as electrical and plumbing systems for office and lab projects.

Vladimir Ayzenberg has more than 15 years experience in the engineering field. He joins Jarmel Kizel from Paulus, Sokolowski, and Sartor, Inc., where he served as an HVAC staff engineer. Previously, he was a CAD operator and HVAC designer with Global Design Industries and an HVAC designer with the General Gas Company in Latvia. He is a graduate of the Latvian Technical University and has completed advanced studies at the Manhattan Technical Institute.

Vladimir Ayzenberg resides in Bedminster, N.J.

Tom Hughes (photo) has been promoted to Vice President of Ambassador Construction, a leading Manhattan-based construction firm specializing in corporate interiors and the enhancement of public spaces in commercial properties throughout the tri-state area. Ambassador President Jay Koven made the announcement.

Hughes has been with Ambassador for 16 years, rising through the ranks from field supervisor to vice president.

Hughes oversees the entire construction process in concert with the owner and project manager, and is responsible for the overall supervision of daily construction operations, including budgeting, estimating, scheduling and client meetings. He specializes in working with the architect and client to resolve design cost issues, as well as serving as communication liaison between the client, architect, engineer, client consultants and Ambassador.

A graduate of Brooklyn College, where he concentrated on construction management, Mr. Hughes holds an OSHA Safety Certification. He resides in Woodbridge, NJ with his wife Eileen and his two daughters, Nicole and Jessica.

Houlihan/Lawrence Inc. has named Paige Schiller of Armonk, N.Y., as a sales associate in its Armonk office.

Prior to joining Houlihan/Lawrence, Ms. Schiller worked as a chef and private caterer. She is also a volunteer with the Starlight Children's Foundation in Manhattan.

Steven Romano has been appointed Director of Residential Development at Century 21 Construction. Mr. Romano will lead the company's newly formed Residential Division which was created with the purpose of developing multifamily, single family, senior housing, apartment, and HUD-supported development projects in the tri-state area. Prior to joining Century 21 Construction, Romano was Director of Construction for Westminster Communities of New Jersey and also served as a Construction Manager for a large scale development in Connecticut which was a joint venture between Garden Homes and Pinnacle Communities.

At Century 21 Construction, Mr. Romano's responsibilities will include land acquisition, project concepts and approvals, subcontractor purchasing, construction supervision, and organization of administrative and field staff specifically for all residential development endeavors. Mr. Romano has twenty years of experience in the homebuilding field. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for the construction and development of more than 1,500 multifamily, single family and senior housing units in addition to more than 1,000 luxury rental units.

Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, Inc. of Livingston, N.J. reported the appointment of Lowell T. Martin as an Associate. In this capacity, he will serve as a Project Architect responsible for base building design and large scale interior fit-ups. Jarmel Kizel is one of the fastest growing full-service architectural, engineering, interior design and space planning companies in the industry.

Mr. Martin has spent more than 15 years in the architectural field. He was previously employed by the Grad Partnership of Newark, Antoniades & Associates and Michael Lynn & Associates, both of New York. He is a graduate of Howard University where he received his Bachelor of Architectural Degree. He is a New York State licensed architect.

Lowell Martin resides in Somerset.

Robert Vaccarello (photo) has been named president of R. Y. Management Co., Inc., a New York-based property management and brokerage company.

Mr. Vaccarello began his career as a rental manager with R. Y. after graduating from St. John's University in 1982. In 1984, he was promoted to project manager for Ruppert-Yorkville Towers and advanced to the position of district manager in 1987. He was appointed vice president of operations in 1990, a post he held until being named president.

A registered apartment manager, Mr. Vaccarello was named R.A.M. of the year in 1993. He received certified property manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and is currently a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

Mr. Vaccarello and his wife reside in. Manalapan, N.J., with their two daughters.

Richard T. Pinter (photo) has joined The Matzel and Mumford Organization in the newly created position of director of site development.

In his new position, Mr. Pinter assumes responsibility for directing the company's site development sector, securing new assemblages for development, and assuring new community success for all projects.

Prior to joining The Matzel and Mumford Organization, Mr. Pinter was construction manager for the construction services division for Middletown of New Jersey-based T&M Associates. He has also been actively involved with all aspects of construction management and engineering throughout his career.

Sandi W. Danick, director of real estate for the New York region at Katz & Associates, has been named to the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association (YM/WREA), it was announced by Daniel B. Katz, president and CEO of Katz & Associates.

A member of the Katz & Associates team since July 1999, Danick is responsible for representing local and national retailers for locations in Manhattan and the outer boroughs, establishing relationships with area owners and developers, and stewarding new business initiatives for the firm. With more than a decade of experience in the real estate industry, Danick's expertise includes strategic planning, site selection, lease negotiation, and development for all types of real estate products -- from strip centers, outlets, enclosed malls, and super value regional malls to mixed-use residential and retail properties:

James T. Stievater has been named a senior vice president at PB Constructors Inc., the design/build construction subsidiary of Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB), an international engineering, planning, and construction management organization.

Mr. Stievater has more than 36 years of experience in project and construction management. Prior to joining PB, he was co-director of a construction operation in Brazil. Previously, he was a vice president for a major contractor, responsible for its design/build unit in a territory that encompassed the southeastern United States. He has also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of a large contracting group that specialized in medical facilities.

Mr. Stievater earned his M.B.A from Georgia State University in Atlanta and his B.C.E. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.

Adrienne Albert (photo) will be the guest speaker at the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York luncheon series on Sept. 14th at noon at the National Arts Club. Ms. Albert will make sense of this summer's confusing and conflicting re-ports on the health of the residential real estate market in New York.

Ms. Albert is president of The Marketing Directors, Inc. and is one of the foremost marketers of residential property in New York City. Through her firm, she has been personally responsible for the sales and marketing of more than $3 billion of property over the last 20 years, ranging from Canada to Florida, from New York to California, from single family homes to high-density, multi-use developments.

Rosenman & Colin has announced that Harvey J. Yaverbaum has been named partner of the firm and chairman of the New York real estate department. Yaverbaum was formerly a counsel at Rosenman.

Yaverbaum joined Rosenman as an associate in 1969 and was named partner in 1978. He left the firm in 1986 to become vice president and general counsel at an organization involved in real estate development and mortgage banking. From 1992 to 1994, Yaverbaum served as an assistant general counsel for real estate at the Resolution Trust Corporation. in Washington, D.C. After being a partner and a counsel to the real estate departments at two other law firms, he rejoined Rosenman in 1997 as a counsel.

OnSite Access, Inc., a building-centric integrated communications provider, has appointed David M. Burke to the position of senior real estate director for the company's Southeast region. Burke will be responsible for real estate acquisitions and business developments from North Carolina to Florida, including the Atlanta metropolitan area. This appointment expands his current responsibilities as senior real estate director for Florida.

Burke joined OnSite Access in March 2000. Previously, he was with Dam Rauscher Capital Markets Group of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he served as senior vice president of fixed income trading. Prior to joining Dam Rauscher, Burke held the position of associate director of securities trading at CoreStates Securities Corporation, also located in Fort Lauderdale.

Burke is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he eamed a B.A. degree in business administration.
