Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers of Livingston, N.J. has appointed of Vladimir Ayzenberg as a mechanical engineer. In this capacity, Ayzenberg will be responsible for project engineering for the design of HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) In the home or small office with a handful of computers, HVAC is more for human comfort than the machines. In large datacenters, a humidity-free room with a steady, cool temperature is essential for the trouble-free , as well as electrical and plumbing systems for office and lab projects.

Vladimir Ayzenberg has more than 15 years experience in the engineering field. He joins Jarmel Kizel from Paulus, Sokolowski, and Sartor, Inc., where he served as an HVAC staff engineer. Previously, he was a CAD operator and HVAC designer with Global Design Industries and an HVAC designer with the General Gas Company in Latvia. He is a graduate of the Latvian Technical University and has completed advanced studies at the Manhattan Technical Institute.

Tom Hughes (photo) has been promoted to Vice President of Ambassador Construction, a leading Manhattan-based construction firm specializing in corporate interiors and the enhancement of public spaces in commercial properties throughout the tri-state area There are a number of places in the United States known as tri-state areas where three states or holdings meet at one point (a tripoint), or in proximity to each other. Houlihan/Lawrence Inc. has named Paige Schiller of Armonk, N.Y., as a sales associate in its Armonk office.

Prior to joining Houlihan/Lawrence, Ms. Schiller worked as a chef and private caterer. She is also a volunteer with the Starlight Children's Foundation in Manhattan.

Steven Romano has been appointed Director of Residential Development at Century 21 Construction. Mr. Romano will lead the company's newly formed Residential Division which was created with the purpose of developing multifamily, single family, senior housing, apartment, and HUD-supported development projects in the tri-state area. Prior to joining Century 21 Construction, Romano was Director of Construction for Westminster Communities of New Jersey and also served as a Construction Manager for a large scale development in Connecticut which was a joint venture between Garden Homes and Pinnacle Communities.

At Century 21 Construction, Mr. Romano's responsibilities will include land acquisition, project concepts and approvals, subcontractor purchasing, construction supervision, and organization of administrative and field staff specifically for all residential development endeavors. Mr. Romano has twenty years TWENTY YEARS. Robert Vaccarello (photo) has been named president of R. Y. Management Co., Inc., a New York-based property management and brokerage company.

Mr. Vaccarello began his career as a rental manager with R. Y. after graduating from St. John's University in 1982. In 1984, he was promoted to project manager for Ruppert-Yorkville Towers and advanced to the position of district manager in 1987. He was appointed vice president of operations in 1990, a post he held until being named president.

Rosenman & Colin has announced that Harvey J. Yaverbaum has been named partner of the firm and chairman of the New York real estate department. Yaverbaum was formerly a counsel at Rosenman.
