On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2.  announced the appointment of Frank O'Neill as senior vice president of global retail services. O'Neill is a senior retail executive with more than 20 years experience in tenant representation, strategic planning, site selection, and new prototype design and rollout.

In his new position, O'Neill will focus on the development of the firm's national mall real estate business, which will include tenant representation, mall leasing analysis, disposition of problem real estate, and interaction with investment sales. In addition, he will act as a liaison with GB Hillier Parker in the United Kingdom in representing European tenants interested in expanding to the United States, as well as U.S. tenants that are expanding in Europe.

Prior to joining the company, O'Neill was president of B. Dalton Bookseller the mall division of Barnes & Noble where he supervised the merchandising, store operations, finance, real estate, and construction departments.

Cushman & Wakefield announced that Kenneth P. Singleton, general counsel and secretary, has been named executive managing director by the firm's board of directors. Singleton currently oversees the firm's entire, multinational legal department and directs its risk management operations.

Singleton joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1991 as senior counsel and became managing counsel in 1993. During his tenure he has been responsible for negotiating and structuring numerous acquisitions, including The Apartment Group, Met Structures, Premisys, and the European firm Healey & Baker. He also helped established the firm's presence in South America and Asia, handling acquisitions for more than 30 new offices in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Hong Kong, South Korea, and China.

Singleton is a member of Cushman & Wakefield's board of directors. James Postell has joined Trammell Crow Company as senior vice president, director of brokerage for its New Jersey/Connecticut region. Michael Nachamkin, president of Whitehall Industrial Properties, L.L.C, announced the appointment of Mark W. McConnell as senior vice president, business development.

McConnell will be based at the company's Edison headquarters and will be responsible for acquisitions in the Boston, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. corridors, in addition to leasing and marketing the company's entire portfolio. Prior to joining Whitehall, McConnell served as vice president, international real estate, for Merrill Lynch for the past three years.
