Koeppel, an attorney and a member of Trinity's Class of 1954, was a member of the board of trustees for 15 years and served as chairman from 1990 to 1996. Under his leadership, the board of trustees selected Evan S. Dobelle as Trinity's 18th president, promoted a vigorous neighborhood strategy, championed an ambitious comprehensive capital campaign, paved the way for the Campus Master Plan, shepherded the Target of Opportunity Program to increase minority faculty, and conducted a major study of the Greek-letter organizations. He also served on the executive committee of Trinity's National Alumni Association and on three Trinity presidential search committees. Together with his brother, Bevin, Class of 1947, he funded the Koeppel Student Center.

"Alfred Koeppel has honored Trinity through his alumni service and his many accomplishments over the past five decades," Dobelle said. "In all of his activities on behalf of the College -- as an admissions interviewer, class agent, fundraising leader, and stalwart of the alumni association - he has shown keen intelligence, an enthusiasm for work, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep commitment to learning."

Pamela Liebman (photo) was named CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of the Corcoran Group, Manhattan' s largest privately-owned residential real estate company. Liebman will have overall responsibility for The Corcoran Group's sales and day-to-day operations. She will be replacing the retiring Esther Kaplan, former President and COO.

Liebman has been with the firm for 15 years and has been a partner since 1990. Most recently, she was president of Corcoran Group Marketing in TriBeCa, where she directed the marketing and sale of approximately $500 million of new residential developments. She also has been the driving force in establishing The Corcoran Group as a leading firm in the downtown market.

Barbara Corcoran will remain as chairman of the company, with primary responsibility for the strategic direction of the company and continue to act as the public face of The Corcoran Group.

W. P. Carey & Co. Inc. announced the appointment by its Board of Directors of Edward V. LaPuma as Executive Director.

Commenting on the appointment of Mr. LaPuma, Wm. Polk Carey. Chairman and Chief Executive or W. P. Over the past 12 months, Mr. LaPuma has initiated, negotiated and closed transactions totaling more than $175 million. Included in these transaction was a $42 million sale-leaseback/build-to-suit for CheekFree's corporate campus in Norecross, Georgia, a $14.7 million sale-leaseback of a to-he-built megaplex theater for Consolidated Theaters in Richmond, Virginia, and a $20 million saleleaseback of one of Best Buy's leading California retail centers.

Mr. LaPuma joined the company as Assistant to the Chairman in 1995 and established W.P. Carey's institutional department. He was elected a First Vice President in April 1998. Mr. LaPuma holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania's College of Arts and Sciences and a BS from its Wharton School. He graduated magna cum laude from both.

Deborah Ippolito has joined John Ciardullo Associates, P.C., a New York City-based architecture and design firm, as director of business development. Ms. Ippolito joins the firm with 10 years of business development experience in architecture and interior design.

Ms. Ippolito, 45, is responsible for new business development of the firm's architectural, interior design and structural engineering services. Her primary focus is real estate developers, corporations and government agencies in the tristate area.

Over the past six years, Ms. Ippolito played a key role in building the relationships that grew the office of Marvin H. Meltzer from a three-person firm to an organization of 30 employees. Her prior experience includes business development at a corporate interiors firm and a position as regional marketing manager for Wang Laboratories, where she headed the design of Wang's Executive Briefing Center in New York City.
