David Kuperberg, President of Cooper Square Realty, Inc., has named Tal Eyal (photo), a vice president of the firm. His responsibilities will include directing a growing commercial management portfolio.

Eyal, who has been serving as Senior Managing Director of Cooper Square, joined the firm in 1990. Prior to that, he was a captain in the Israeli Army. He gained his B.A. in finance from a joint program sponsored by New York Institute of Technology and New York University; he also has a certificate from NYU's Real Estate Institute.

Crystal Window & Door Systems president and owner Thomas Chen received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the New York City region June 22. This award helps entrepreneurs receive the recognition they deserve for their contributions to the New York City economy, encourages future entrepreneurs, and ultimately enhances the area's business climate.

An independent panel of judges hailing from many notable industries in New York reviewed nominations for more than 100 New York City companies and narrowed the field to 33 finalist companies (44 entrepreneurs) in nine categories. In addition to past and potential growth, award selection criteria included company culture, values and incentives, innovative business approaches, management team development, and commitment to the community. Among the national and regional corporate sponsors for this award were Ernst & Young, Nasdaq-Amex Market Group, CNN, USA Today, The Citibank Private Bank, and Marsh MMC Company.

Chen was the winner in the Manufacturing & Distribution category. He and the other regional award winners are eligible for the National awards to be selected in November.

Donald N. Noland, Jr. has been appointed director of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.'s Industrial Brokerage Services Group based in East Rutherford, N.J. Previously, Noland served as the national manager and assistant director for Cushman & Wakefield's domestic Research Services operations. He also worked for Carr Real Estate Services (formerly developer Oliver T. Carr Company), an REIT located in Washington, D.C. Noland joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1990. Since then, he has worked on research consulting assignments on behalf of prominent clients including ProLogis; Boeing Corporation, Joseph Canizaro Interests, Ford Motor Company and Reckson Associates.

W. P. Carey & Co. L.L.C. has announced the appointment of Anne R. Coolidge (photo) as executive director.

Coolidge, who joined the company in 1993, is head of W. P. Carey's London office, which opened in 1999 and is responsible for European operations. Her first UK transaction, in February, was the $6.34 million Purchase/lease-back for Gloystarne & Co. Limited, a Kent-based distribution company. Two further transactions followed and she is working on several other transactions.

In addition to her role as executive director of W. P. Carey & Co. LLC, Ms. Coolidge is the portfolio manager of Corporate Property Associates 10, a REIT managed by W. P. Carey. She joined the company in 1993 as assistant to the chairman and was elected a vice president in April 1998. She received an A.B. From Harvard College magna cum laude and an M.B.A. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business.

Rockwood Realty Associates, L.L.C. has announced the promotion of three executives, Daniel L. Sachs, 36, formerly a Senior Vice President, is now a Managing Director; Andrew G. Scandalios, 32, has been promoted from Vice President to Senior Vice President; and Mark DeLillo, 31, whose title was Associate Vice President, will now serve as a Vice President.

During his five-year tenure at Rockwood, Sachs has had primary responsibility for investment sales, consulting and financing transactions totaling in excess of $3 billion. Sachs focuses his attention on the office and retail sector, specifically focusing on regional malls.

Prior to joining Rockwood, Sachs was a Manager in Coopers & Lybrand.

LLP's Real Estate Advisory Services Group. While there, he supervised due diligence activities for rating agency presentation for the securitization of more than $1 billion of commercial loans collateralized by the office, retail, multifamily and industrial properties. Mr. Sachs holds a B.S.C. in finance and accounting from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and in MBA in real estate finance from Columbia Business School.

Scandalios has played an integral role for more than $2.5 billion of investment sale and consulting assignments. He was an Assistant Vice President at UBS Asset Management before joining Rockwood, where he served as a real estate acquisitions officer evaluating office, retail, industrial and multifamily investment opportunities throughout the US for domestic and overseas clients. While there, he was involved in transactions totaling more than $650 million in acquisitions, financings, dispositions and joint venture developments. Earlier, Mr. Scandalios was with New York-based Edward S. Gordon Company. He holds a BS degree in finance from Fairfield University and an MS in real estate finance from New York University.

While at Rockwood, DeLillo has played an integral role for more $1.5 billion of investment sales, consulting and financing transactions in the retail, hotel and multifamily sectors. DeLillo worked at Prudential Capital Group prior to Rockwood, where he managed and originated more than $300 million in private fixed income investments covering a variety of domestic and foreign industrial projects.

Aram Pehlivanian, (photo) an attorney and MBA, has joined Georgia Malone & Company, Inc. Pehlivanian, who has four years of construction management and design experience, will now be responsible for advising on real estate development deals, as well as performing financial analysis and performa at the New York-based firm.

Prior to joining Georgia Malone & Company, Pehlivanian worked as an engineer for the City of Akron Bureau of Engineering. While at the Bureau of Engineering, Pehlivanian worked with a licensed architect and managed the design of multiple capital improvement projects. The remainder of his time at the Bureau of Engineering was spent managing the construction of these projects, including overseeing the $4 million renovation of the Firestone Stadium. Pehlivanian earned his MBA in finance and his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron. He received his BS in building construction management from Purdue University.

Phil N. Walker has been appointed Executive Vice President, Director of Relocation Services and Corporate Development at Douglas Elliman, one of the leading residential real estate brokerage firms in Manhattan. In his new position Mr. Walker will be responsible for further strengthening and expanding Douglas Elliman's relocation division, which handles a full range of destination and departure services. Mr. Walker replaces Paul Purcell, who was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at the firm in 1999.

Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, Walker worked as an attorney at the California firm of Laughlin, Falbo, Levy and Moresi, where he specialized in Corporate Labor Law. He also held positions at USX Corporation and served as Senior Counsel for the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.

OnSite Access, Inc. has named Greg B. Thomas vice president of f-product marketing.

In this new role, Thomas will oversee all aspects of product management, development, research and marketing for the company's voice, data and Internet products. In addition, Thomas will play an active role in identifying and negotiating with key business partners in the product area.

Prior to joining On Site Access, Thomas was vice president of marketing and product development for Prism Communication Services Inc., where he was responsible for strategic planning, product development and management and business development.

Steven H. Ferris, a real estate expert with more than fifteen years of industry experience, has joined Trammell Crow Company as vice president of the national Urban and Specialty Retail Group. The appointment was announced by Michael Hirschfeld, a principal with Trammell Crow Company and national head of the Urban and Specialty Retail Group.

Ferris will play a key role in providing site selection and lease negotiation services to national retailers looking to locate in malls or shopping centers. He joins Trammell Crow Company from New England Development of Newton, Mass., where he was a vice president specializing in leasing strategies for a portfolio of regional malls. Earlier in his career, Ferris was the owner of Atlantic Properties, a residential sales, leasing and development firm.

Insignia/ESG director Aileen Green (photo) has been unanimously elected vice president of the Long Island Women's Agenda Business & Economic Development Committee (LIWA BEDC). At the June 27 gala membership dinner meeting, Green will be installed and LIWA's 50 organizational members will showcase their services.

Prior to joining Insignia/ESG, Green was vice president of Schacker Real Estate Corp., where she negotiated the sales and leasing of industrial, commercial and retail properties.

In addition to her work with LIWA, Green is an active board member of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS) as well as a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and a fundraiser for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, (CCFA).

Tudor Realty Services Corp. (TRS) has announced that Ronda Savoy (photo) has joined the company in the position of director of brokerage services. In her new position, Ms. Savoy will originate and implement sales and marketing initiatives for all Tudor Realty Services' brokerage offices and supervise over 30 salespeople.

Ms. Savoy joined the TRS team after establishing a brokerage operation on Madison Avenue for D.J. Knight & Co., Ltd., a relocation firm, where she built a 36-agent residential and commercial division.
