Vollmer Associates has named Nickitas N. Alexiades a senior associate and director of the firm's New Jersey operations.

In his new position, Alexiades will oversee Vollmer's projects in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. He has more than 22 years of experience in engineering, planning, and design on a variety of highway and bridge-related projects, bridge inspection and condition surveys, and transportation planning studies. He previously served as deputy director of Vollmer's Rochelle Park office as well as the structural department head.

Alexiades holds B.S. and M.S. deGrees civil en gineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a member of Consulting Engineers Council of New Jersey and the North ern New Jersey section of the American Society of Highway Engineers.

The company also announced that Steven H. Enzel has been named a senior associate. Enzel serves as Vollmer's corporate controller. His responsibilities encompass financial analysis and planning for the firm, including preparation of annual corporate budgets, financial management, project reviews, and cost analyses. Enzel, of Forest Hills, holds an accounting degree from Pace University.

Winter & Co. announced that Henry Berliss was named vice president. He previously served as director of TFS Financial Services. The company also announce that Mitchell Draizin was named executive vice president. He was formerly managing director of the firm.

Cushman & Wakefield Inc. announced that Joseph A. Cabrera joined the firm as an executive director. He was formerly an executive managing director at Insignia/ESG.

Cory R. Gubner, president and founder of Chase Commercial/TCN Worldwide, has been named to the TCN Worldwide board of directors. Gubner founded Chase Commercial in 1998 having previously spent ten years at Pyramid Real Estate as a partner heading the brokerage division.

Kushner Companies has appointed Tony DiLorenzo director of sales and marketing for Westminster Communities, announced chief operating officer Stewart Epstein.

In his new role DiLorenzo will report directly to director of operations Marc B. Schneiderman and will oversee the development of marketing programs, manage sales offices and supervise sales personnel. DiLorenzo's responsibilities also will include overseeing the company' s 7,000-square foot Design Center located in its Florham Park headquarters.

DiLorenzo, of Morris Township, N.J., most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for Kalian Companies of RedBank, N.J. He joins Kushner with 17 years of sales and marketing experience in the real estate development field. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from St. John's University and a degree in financial planning from Adelphi University. In addition, he is a New Jersey licensed real estate broker and has completed all the required courses for the M.I.R.M. degree from the National Association of Home Builders.

NBBJ announced the addition of Charles Alexander as managing principal of their New York of fice.

Alexander, who joined NBBJ from Perkins & Will, has over 27 years of professional and academic experience and holds a B.A. and M.A. from Cornell University. During the past eleven years he has successfully held partner-level responsibilities in office management, project management, contract negotiation, contract administration, human re sources, and personnel allocation.

Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. announced that Alex Gilbert rejoined the firm as senior vice president of the leasing and management. group in New York. He Was formerly. vice president of William E. Simon & Sons.

Residential marketing and sales specialist Susan M. de Franca has joined Davis & Partners, LLC as executive vice president of development market ing.

Formerly executive vice president and managing director for The Sunshine Group, Ltd., de Franca has implemented the sales and marketing strategies and managed the sales process for a number of residential properties recently developed by The Related Companies, including The Chatham and Park Imperial. She also worked on the design and de velopment of the residential component of AOL Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle.

She earned her B.S. in business management and marketing from St. Francis College and studied real estate appraisal, finance, and investment at Marymount Manhattan College.

R.M. Kliment & Frances Halsband Architects announced that David S. Miller has become an associate of the firm.

Sandi W. Danick has been namedvice president for the New York region and Giada Cucchiani has been named real estate representative for Katz & Associates.

Previously, Danick held the position of director of real estate for Katz & Associates. She is responsible for representing local and national retailers for locations in Manhattan, establishing relationships with area owners and developers, and stewarding new business initiatives for the firm.

Cucchiani joins Katz & Associates from Newmark and Company Real Estate, where she exclusively represented several international companies in devising and developing their retail ex pansion in the United States. Prior to that, she worked for The Witkoff Group, where was employed in their asset management and leasing departments.

Cucchiani holds a degree in international diplomatic sciences from the University of Trieste in Italy. She is fluentin Italian, English, French, and Spanish.

Taconic Investment Partners announced that John Weir has joined the firm as senior vice president of development

Weir has extensive experience in real estate development and acquiitions, finance and portfolio management in the United States as well as the United Kingdom. Weir was previously a managing director with Halpern Real Estate Development, where he oversaw the conversion of a 65-acre commercial office park to a commercial condominium in Westchester County, N.Y., and directed the successful leasing and sales campaign that followed the conversion.

Weir is a fellow member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and holds a Real Estate Management degree from Dundee College of Technology.

David L. Itzkowitz and Herb Yellin have been named senior vice presidents for Equis Corporation's expanding New York office. The two men, both for merly with Colliers ABR, Inc., were hired to augment the firm's specialty in tenant representation services.

Itzkowitz, whose experience spans

more than 18 years of commercial real estate brokerage and consulting, has acted on behalf of corporate clients in leasing and sales transactions totaling more than two million square feet. Itzkowitz is a graduate of the School of Government and Business at George Washington University, where he earned a degree in business administration with a specialty in finance.

Yellin has handled office and retail leasing with heavy management leasing agency assignments. He had been with Williams Real Estate Company, Inc. and Koeppel Tener Riguardi, Inc., which merged into Colliers ABR. Yellin is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a B.S. in economics.

Amy Linden has been named assistant to Thomas I. O'Neill, president and chief executive officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In her new position, Linden will use her management ex perience in transportation, schools, planning, and fi nance to assist O'Neill on a wide variety of company initiatives. Linden comes to PB from the National Railroad Passenger Corporation, where she served most recently as vice president for planning policy and development for the Northeast corridor.

Linden earned a masters degree in public and private management from Yale University's School of Management and a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Califomia, Berkeley.
