YWCA 
 of the City of New York honored Maureen Waters, senior managing director of business development for Cushman & Wakefield, at its luncheon for the Academy of Women Achievers, Class of 2000.

Waters changed C&W's commercial real estate marketing and, in less than two years, developed and trained a diverse and nationally recognized team of more than 50 marketing professionals. She is an industry speaker, and serves her community as a board member and member of more than half a dozen educational and religious organizations.

More than a thousand New York real estate professionals will join the Diabetes, Research Institute's real estate division to honor Colliers ABR's Peter G. Riguardi at its annual Empire Ball Dec. 6 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The black tie gala benefit will support the Diabetes Research Institute.

Boiseau will be based at the company's Parsippany, N.J. offices. He will be responsible for advising GVA clients on overall strategic real estate planning and occupancy strategies.

Prior to joining GVA Williams, Boiseau served as vice president of North American services for Princeton Softech. In this capacity, he was responsible for building a professional services organization for the software products company.

Previously, he was the chairman and chief executive of Computers at Work, Ltd., a company he co-founded in the mobile computing technologies field. Boiseau also served as executive vice president of sales at Medco Containment Services, Inc., the president of the Medco Group, and the president of Paid Prescriptions, Inc. In these positions, he was instrumental for the formation of Medco. Earlier in his career, Boiseau was a division president, as well as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing for Computer Sciences Corporation and the national sales director of the communications industry services division of CSC's INFONET INFONET Information Network (Computer Sciences Corporation)  unit.

Greenspan has demonstrated great commitment to the athletes, their families, and the coaches of Special Olympics New York. The proceeds from the black tie gala will benefit the nearly 40,000 athletes who participate in the Olympics.

Cushman & Wakefield has promoted Steven D. Smith to managing director of asset services for the Midwest region.

In this position he oversees Cushman & Wakefield's Midwest portfolio of more than 20 million square feet of properties and facilities in Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis and Cleveland. He previously served as director of asset services for the Midwest region.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield in 1996, Smith served as senior vice president of Miglin-Beitler Management Corp. where he supervised property management, product leasing, construction, client relations and business development.
