Byline: Naush Boghossian Staff Writer

ENCINO - A 27-year-old man was shot to death Sunday night Sunday Night, later named Michelob Presents Night Music, was an NBC late-night television show which aired for two seasons between 1988 and 1990 as a showcase for jazz and eclectic musical artists.  in his convertible as he left an upscale Ventura Boulevard Ventura Boulevard is one of the primary east-west thouroughfares in the San Fernando Valley; as it was originally a part of the El Camino Real (the trail between Spanish missions), Ventura Boulevard is the oldest route in the San Fernando Valley. It was also U.S.  restaurant, police said Monday.

Shocked residents said they couldn't recall any shootings in their quiet neighborhood during the past several decades.

The man, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, had dined at Cafe Bazel and had just emerged from the restaurant parking lot when he was shot multiple times Sunday night, officials said.

``We believe that he drove out of the parking lot, and it was when he left the parking lot and entered the street in the driveway when he was shot,'' said Detective Rick Swanston of the Los Angeles Police Department "LAPD" and "L.A.P.D." redirect here. For other uses, see LAPD (disambiguation).

Whoever killed him fled, and no suspects had been identified or arrested, police said Monday.

The neighborhood's longtime residents were shaken as they stood around on the street Monday morning talking about the killing.

``We've never had problems in this neighborhood,'' said a 30-year resident of the area who asked not to be identified.

A number of them said they called 911 after the shooting, and some said they heard at least five shots.

Swanston said there is no reason to believe the shooting was related to street gangs.

``We have not had an incident of this nature in many, many years in that area, and although it is very early in the investigation, it is likely this is an isolated incident,'' Swanston said.
