MAN ROBS VALENCIA BANK, ELUDES DEPUTIES.

A bank robber escaped into a Valencia neighborhood Monday, eluding e·lude

The robber, carrying an undisclosed amount of cash, fled the back door of First Nationwide Bank on Lyons Avenue and through the back parking lot of a shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  that borders the Old Orchard neighborhood, deputies said.

The robber entered the bank about 11:15 a.m. and handed a teller a note, demanding cash and claiming he had a gun, deputies said. No weapon was seen.

Witnesses described the robber as white, with black curly hair, graying on the ends visible beneath his white painter's hat. He had blue eyes Blue eyes are eyes that have blue irises (see eye color), and may also refer to:
