LANCASTER -- A Lancaster man faces 35 years in prison after pleading Asking a court to grant relief. The formal presentation of claims and defenses by parties to a lawsuit. The specific papers by which the allegations of parties to a lawsuit are presented in proper form; specifically the complaint of a plaintiff and the answer of a defendant plus any  no contest Tuesday to forcing his way into a woman's home and sexually assaulting her.

Jessie Allen, 25, was arrested Nov. 11 by sheriff's deputies at the 51-year-old victim's home on Lancaster Boulevard after neighbors called police after noticing her dog running loose and her car door open.

``He forced his way in after she opened the door and then he attacked her,'' Deputy District Attorney Valerie Little said.

``The neighbors were suspicious of what was going on in the home. They saw some unusual activity. They looked through the window and saw the defendant naked and the victim partially clothed clothe

The victim was severely beaten by the 5-foot-9, 200-pound Allen, who also stabbed her with the screwdriver, a detective said.

A neighbor who was walking by the house noticed the victim's car door open and decided to let her know about it, Detective E. Sheppard said.

``He approached the door and could hear the TV inside. He didn't get an answer,'' Sheppard said. ``He looked through the window and witnessed some of what was being done to the victim.''

He contacted another neighbor, and they placed the call to 911, Sheppard said. ``He probably saved her life,'' Sheppard said.

Deputies entered the victim's house and caught the defendant in the act, Sheppard said.

``Deputies went in and he had her in the bedroom and had her on bed at that time,'' Sheppard said.

Allen entered his plea on the day that his preliminary hearing was supposed to be held.

Sentencing was set for Dec. 12, and Allen was being held without bail.
