MAN DEFENDS FATAL SHOOTING OF SUSPECTED THIEF.Byline: Jeannette DeSantis Daily News Staff Writer Daniel McDonald Daniel McDonald (July 30 1960 – February 15 2007) was an American actor who played parts in many TV shows such as and Sex in the City. He was also involved in Broadway, performing most recently in Mamma Mia!. claims he was protecting his son from violent car thieves when he chased down and killed one of the suspects. But prosecutors told a jury Wednesday in McDonald's trial that he is guilty of murder for shooting Henry Lemus in the back as the 40-year-old Hollywood man fled the crime scene. The shooting occurred after McDonald and his 24-year-old son, Mark, allegedly caught Lemus and another man breaking into a car parked outside the apartment building that the McDonalds managed on Moorpark Street. Lemus died a short time later when his companions dropped him off at a nearby hospital.
