MALL'S SECOND MACY'S SET TO OPEN.

SIMI VALLEY Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  -- The old Robinson's-May store at the east end of the Simi Valley Town Center Simi Valley Town Center is a shopping center located in Simi Valley, California. The mall opened in 2005 with Macy's and Robinsons-May as anchor stores. The Robinsons-May store was converted into a Macy's Men and Home Store on September 9, 2006.  will open Monday as the mall's second Macy's.

The ``soft'' opening Monday will lead up to the official opening Friday.

Robinson's-May closed this summer as part of a nationwide conversion program after Federated Connected and treated as one. See federated database and federated directories.  Department Stores, which owns Macy's, acquired May Department stores The May Department Stores Company was a department store chain founded in 1877 by David May in Leadville, Colorado. Its headquarters moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1905, and the company went public in 1911. .

The 140,000-square-foot store will reopen offering men's clothing and items for the home.

The 110,000-square-foot Macy's at the west end will feature an expanded selection of clothes and other items for women and children, along with cosmetics.
