MAKE-A-WISH, MUSEUM TO HOST BENEFIT.

LANCASTER - Kids Time Children's Museum Children's museums are institutions that provide exhibits and programs that stimulate informal learning experiences for children. In contrast with traditional museums that typically have a hands-off policy regarding exhibits, children's museums feature interactive exhibits that are  and the Make-A-Wish Foundation The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that grants wishes to children (2.5 years to 18 years old) with life-threatening medical conditions.  of Greater Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  will join to host Hand in Hand, a day of family fun Sept. 14 at the museum, 820 W. Lancaster Blvd.

The event will be from noon to 4 p.m. and will include live entertainment, food and face-painting. KTLA-TV newscaster Warren Wilson will participate in a ceremonial cake-cutting along with city leaders from Palmdale and Lancaster.

While the event is free to the public, donations will be accepted to benefit both the children's museum and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles, established in 1983, has granted wishes to more than 4,500 children with life-threatening medical conditions See carpal tunnel syndrome, computer vision syndrome, dry eyes and deep vein thrombosis. .

Music will be provided by the all-girl band Auburn Court. Other activities include caricature drawings, police and fire unit exhibits and appearances by celebrity look-alikes of Tiger Woods and Lil' Bow Wow.
