MAINFRAME AND LEGACY DATABASES CONNECT TO JAVA APPLICATIION.

WebGain, Inc., Santa Clara, a leading provider of e-business development environments, has signed an agreement with Attunity, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATTU), which authorizes WebGain to sell Attunity's line of products in conjunction with WebGain's data integration platform called TopLink(TM), on a worldwide basis. WebGain TopLink(TM) connects and persists Java Objects to relational databases. Attunity's products enable WebGain to expand its reach to mainframe, legacy and non-relational databases in addition to mapping and persisting connections between Java and relational databases.

"Enterprise customers are connecting their mainframes and legacy databases to their Java J2EE applications," said Dennis Leung, WebGain's VP of Engineering. "WebGain TopLink has been widely adopted by many Enterprise customers who have a need for mapping and persisting connections between Java and relational databases. Now with our new relationship with Attunity, WebGain can offer an enterprise solution for non-relational databases from the PC to the mainframe. Our goal continues to be the supplier which provides a complete solution to Enterprise customers."

"WebGain's revenue from TopLink's sales grew more than 200% over the past year," stated Joe Menard, WebGain's Chairman & CEO. "Many of our TopLink customers want to exploit the power of TopLink with legacy data. Connecting Enterprise Java Applications to databases is a nightmare," continued Joe Menard, "TopLink makes it simple, maintains the mapping, and allows the worlds of Java and databases to synchronize with each other."

WebGain's choice to offer Attunity's products with TopLink was made after evaluating a number of possible solutions. With superior performance and native support for virtually any data source and platform, WebGain believes that Attunity has the best solution for Enterprise customers

"WebGain is a respected leader in Java and database integration, and we are honored to have them reselling our products," said Paul MacKay, chief executive officer of Attunity. "Now Java developers needing to integrate with legacy and non relational data sources have a highly productive alternative to writing custom interfaces to existing systems."
