MAI Systems Corp. (ASE:NOW), a leader in mid-market process manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Thursday announced that it will bundle its CIMPRO ERP solution for Process Manufacturing with privately held Atlanta-based Distinction Software's Supply Chain Operations Planning Environment (SCOPE(TM)) suite.

The company also announced that it will market and provide distribution for the bundled product. Distinction Software is a leading provider of supply chain planning software solutions.

The combined CIMPRO and SCOPE applications address a broad range of needs for medium-sized manufacturing organizations -- from planning and forecasting to scheduling and adherence to regulatory requirements -- which have been historically under-served by ERP vendors especially within the mid-market.

Together, the products provide mid-size manufacturers a fully integrated solution that applies decision support simulation to complex supply chain planning problems as an integral part of the automation of a manufacturer's entire process manufacturing operation.
