MAGNET Awards Sole-Source Contract to E-Z-EM.

E-Z-EM, Inc., (AMEX:EZM) today announced that the Mid-Atlantic Group Network of Shared Services, Inc. (MAGNET), one of the largest shared services organizations in the United States, selected the Company as a provider of virtual colonoscopy equipment and CT injector systems to its network of healthcare providers. Under the term of the agreement, E-Z-EM will be the sole provider to MAGNET members of innerviewGI(TM) virtual colonoscopy workstations, PROTOCO2L(TM) carbon dioxide insufflators, and EmpowerCT(R) injector systems. The 3-year agreement was executed in February 2003.

Operating in over 20 states throughout the Northeast and Mid-West, MAGNET provides a portfolio of medical capital equipment, services, and the newly emerging area of niche/boutique products. The MAGNET membership consists of over 12,000 healthcare providers including hospitals, alternate care facilities, and physician practices and clinics.
