MACABRE MATRIMONY; SPOOKY SITE TO HOST WEDDING.

When Joshua Del Pozzo and Robin Carrier met on a double date last year, they knew they were destined for each other after they found out they had a shared love for a classic film series - the ``Hellraiser'' horror trilogy.

So it's only fitting that the Simi Valley couple will tie the knot at Simi's scariest haunted house tonight, the guests of honor at a ``Marriage Made In Hell'' wedding party at Scream on Los Angeles Avenue.

``When I found out, I thought, No way,'' Carrier said of their wedding plan. ``I guess I'm still thinking that this can't be possible, can't be happening. It's so, so . . .''

``Bitchin','' her fiance finished for her. ``Nothing of this magnitude has ever happened before.''

And just as they each knew instantly that the other was The One, promoters at KIIS-FM (102.7), which will co-sponsor the event, knew just as quickly that they had found the couple of their dreams - or nightmares.

``They had a great sense of humor and they actually wanted to get married on Halloween,'' said Sandy Ito, a spokeswoman for the radio station. ``They already had their costumes, so we knew we had found the perfect couple.''

Del Pozzo, 28, and Carrier, 29, had planned to be married on Halloween 1999, but they moved the date up when they found out they'd won the contest.

They don't even mind that they will be sharing the blood-red-tinted spotlight with contestants of the ``It's a Scream'' contest, as people let out their best horrific shriek to win a big-screen TV.

The event is being held in conjunction with cable channel AMC's week-long ``Monsterfest: House of Horrors,'' a Halloween film festival featuring movies like 1960's ``13 Ghosts'' and 1943's ``Return of the Vampire,'' starring Bela Lugosi.

The future Del Pozzos, who have been engaged for four months, couldn't be more at home with their plans.

They heard about the contest two weeks ago, before it was even announced to the public, from the manager of the haunted house.

In the euphoria they said they felt after making their way through the attraction, they decided to give the contest, which also includes a honeymoon trip to the Cayman Islands, a shot.

``In the 10-minute glow of what you just went through, you think, Wow, that would be really cool, and, boom, it happened,'' Del Pozzo said.

Their original wedding plans included more delicate costumes - pirates or 1930s mobsters. But in keeping with the spirit of the night, the happy couple will be married looking like Michael Myers of the ``Halloween'' films - Del Pozzo's favorite movie bad guy - and a spider-themed vixen.

The wedding ceremony is open to the public and will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the scream contest to start at 8 p.m., at 120 E. Los Angeles Ave.
