MAC NETWORK AND MONEY STATION REACH GATEWAY AGREEMENT

WILMINGTON, Del., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Money Access Service (MAC Midwest) and Money Station, Inc. (MSI) announced today that they have reached an agreement to provide the opportunity for mutual access to each other's network for all participating financial institutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, financial institutions that are members of the MAC Midwest network can become acquirer only members of Money Station via a gateway link, and vice versa. Financial institutions may also join both networks directly, via Intercept Processor links. As a third option, former Green Machine and OWL (now MAC Midwest) members who participated in the existing gateway with MSI can maintain their participation in MSI. Financial institutions that elect to participate in the gateway may display the logos of both the MAC network and Money Station.
The agreement follows several months of negotiations.
"This agreement represents our networks' commitment to meeting the needs of our member financial institutions and their customers," said Michael L. Douglas, president of Money Access Service. "It also exemplifies our desire to work with other networks in our expansion market regions to ensure the broadest possible access for our cardholders."
"We'll be finalizing the details over the course of the next several weeks," said A. Edward Gough, president of Money Station, Inc. "In the meantime, we are pleased that we have been able to produce an agreement that maintains the level of convenience for ATM and POS access to which our cardholders have become accustomed."
Money Station, Inc. (MSI) currently operates in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, servicing 600 financial institutions. There are more than 4,500 ATM and POS devices accessible to 13 million MSI cardholders in this midwestern region.
The MAC system currently has 1,450 participating financial institutions and 28 million cardholders in 16 states, primarily in the Midatlantic and Midwest regions. It is the top electronic funds transfer network in total switch transactions, and a leading provider of point of sale services.
