MABON ELECTS BURKE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

 NEW YORK, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Mabon's addition of Kenneth J. Burke, 40, brings to four the company's technology research team, said Edwin McGuinn, managing director, institutional equities department.
 Burke, who will be based in Mabon's San Francisco office, joins the firm as a senior vice president and senior technology research analyst. He is a CFA and CPA.
 "Ken is an especially intuitive technology analyst," McGuinn said. He added that the new executive was a solid addition to Mabon's growing research core platform.
 Most recently, Burke was a principal and senior analyst at Pacific Growth Equities specializing in computer software and services companies.
 A nine-year veteran of Alex Brown & Sons, Inc., 1981-1990, he was vice president and senior analyst, managing the research activities of the company's San Francisco office.
 He had also been employed as associate consultant at Theodore Barry & Associates and senior auditor at Arthur Andersen & Company.
 Mabon Securities is a member of the New York Stock Exchange and other principal exchanges. It offers services to institutional investors, broker-dealers, banks, corporations and individuals.
