M-346 lands at test centre.
The first prototype of the Alenia Aermacchi M-346 advanced flight
trainer has been delivered to the Italian Air Force Flight Test Centre,
where it will begin a series of technical evaluations. The battery of
tests will culminate in a final aircraft evaluation report from the
Italian Air Force staff and is to be used as a reference to finalising
the development of the M-346. The testing is also planned to verify the
new aircraft's capabilities and potential for future service in the
advanced training role as a new-generation lead-in fighter training
aircraft.
