M&S Fine Foods, Inc. Launches Fundraising Program; Channels Percentage of Supporter-Related Sales to Sponsored Charities.


CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. & SAN ANTONIO San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837.  -- M&S Fine Foods, Inc. the Charlottesville-headquartered direct-to-consumer marketer of gourmet and specialty foods and gifts, has developed a fundraising initiative under which a select group of sponsored charities receive a percentage of the revenues from M&S' product sales to any of their donors, sponsors or associated family members and businesses, it was announced today by Bernard H. La Lone, Jr., Chairman of M&S Fine Foods, Inc.

 La Lone, the initiative was developed in conjunction with The Children's Shelter, a multi-purpose child-serving agency with the mission of strengthening the community by providing safety, well being, and lasting families for children. The Children's Shelter provides the following services to the San Antonio and South Texas community: emergency shelter Emergency shelters are places for people to live temporarily when they can't live in their previous residence, similar to homeless shelters. The main difference is that an emergency shelter typically specializes in people fleeing a specific type of situation, such as battered  for children birth to twelve years, residential treatment care for children with extreme emotional problems, foster care, adoption, teen parenting programs, and Girls Incorporated curricula and activities.

Mrs. Charline McCombs, 2003 Angel of the Shelter, presented the fundraising initiative to The Children's Shelter's Board of Trustees board of trustees Politics The posse of thugs who oversee an institution's administration.
