M&A report--October 2006.DEAL activity in L.A. County remained sluggish for a third consecutive month in October, with only 63 announced mergers or aquistions worth an estimated $4.3 billion. That's down from 71 deals worth $5 billion in September and from 72 worth $6.5 billion in October 2005. Topping the list of major deals was L.A.-based CB Richard Ellis Group Inc.'s $1.8 billion purchase of Dallas-based Trammel Crow Co.
