Lysis and DiviCom Strengthen Partnership with Reseller Agreement; Accord Allows DiviCom To Sell Lysis iDTV Management Software Directly to Customers.

In a move aimed at streamlining sales and technology-integration operations, the new agreement will make it easier for operators to implement digital television broadcast (DTV (Digital TeleVision) Transmitting TV using digital signals. The major DTV standards are ATSC (North America), DVB (Europe) and ISDB (Japan). All three use MPEG-2 video compression and Dolby Digital audio compression. Under the agreement, DiviCom will sell the Swiss-based company's leading software platform, designed to manage and deliver digital media content over DTV broadcast channels and the Internet. The deal is part of a strategic partnership between DiviCom and Lysis. The partnership is focused on enhancing the management of content and resources in the digital domain. In keeping with DiviCom's open solutions, DiviCom-Lysis interfaces allow both companies to integrate their products with other vendors. The reseller's agreement strengthens DiviCom's technology offering, putting it ahead of other head-end solutions. In addition, for customers, the agreement means a single point of contact for resolving sales and integration issues.
