Lynn R. Detlor Leaves $12 Billion Premier Inc. to Become CEO of B2B Start-Up Med-eCommerce.com.

Lynn Detlor joins Med-eCommerce.com from Premier, Inc. where he was the President of Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P. in San Diego, California. Mr. Detlor is widely regarded as the leading strategist in healthcare group purchasing programs in the country. Premier is one of the largest healthcare networks in the nation, representing more than 1,700 not-for-profit hospitals in 48 states and Washington, D.C., with a combined purchasing power of $12 billion. In this capacity, Mr. Detlor was responsible for the strategic planning and business direction of all activities related to Premier Purchasing Partners, including medical/surgical supplies, capital equipment, dietary, pharmaceuticals, and laboratory. Prior to merging with Premier, Detlor was the Vice President of Materiel Management for American Healthcare Systems (AmHS).
Prior to joining AmHS, Mr. Detlor served from 1974 to 1986 as Vice President for Materiel Management of the Adventist Health System, representing 84 Adventist Hospitals in the United States and 312 hospitals owned and operated internationally. During that time he developed a National Purchasing Program from inception through transition from individual hospitals to a national system.
Mr. Detlor earned a BS in the Engineering School at San Diego State University, a B.A. in Business Administration at Pacific Union College, and completed two years advance study in the Health Sciences masters program at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a member of the American Hospital Association, Group Purchasing Group, has published numerous articles for health care journals and has been a guest speaker for many healthcare manufacturers and hospital organizations in the United States. Lynn Detlor serves on several Boards in the healthcare industry.
