These awards offer creative and financial opportunities in two categories: pedagogical ped·a·gog·ic also ped·a·gog·i·cal adj. 1. Of, relating to, or characteristic of pedagogy. 2. Characterized by pedantic formality: a haughty, pedagogic manner. keyboard compositions, open to unpublished composers in grades 7 through age 25; and a scholarship award for graduate-level study in piano pedagogy, with no age limits. The pedagogical composition competition presents three awards, ranging from $500 to $1,500, and the chair endeavors to place the winning composition under formal publications contracts.
