Lynch's men picked up 10 points in October and though the Arriva Stadium boss admits the league is a very tight one, he wants a similar return in November, starting with today's trip to Matlock town.

Lynch said: "There's no doubt about it, our division is a very tough one.

"That is why I was very happy to get maximum points from our last game.

"I am very pleased with how the past month has gone. The players are showing consistency but it's not a case of sitting back on our laurels.

"We have to kick on and continue working hard.

"In many ways, Ossett was a massive match for us, a must-win game, so I was really pleased with the result.

"Matlock is a big game too.

"Hopefully with a win we can start getting some daylight between the teams around us.

"There's no doubt it will be a difficult game but we will be going there in the right frame of mind.

"I have been really pleased with the tremendous team spirit the players have been showing.

"Players know there is competition for places and if they have dips in form, there are squad members here eager to take their place. There is absolutely no favouritism here."

Derbyshire hosts Matlock are third bottom of the Premier Division with 16 points from their 15 games.
