Luzerne County community college motorsports program recognized.

Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke, Pa., Motorsports Technology Program graduates have had no trouble finding employment despite the tough economic times of the past few years. Thanks to the hands on nature of coursework and training from instructors who work in the field, students go directly into the workforce with little need for on the job training.

"Any of our students who want a job can get one with a race team or even a technical company," says Bob Komnath, Director of Automotive Technology.

The Motorsports Technology Program was recently featured in Drag Racing Action, a national magazine dedicated to everything racing. The article highlighted LCCC's dedication to staying current in the industry and providing those willing to learn with an opportunity to break into the field of drag racing with a competitive edge. As the only two-year A.A.S. program in the country, LCCC is certainly a great fit for anyone interested in the field.

Komnath says that more students are choosing to major in both Motorsports Technology and Automotive Technology, enabling students to have that much more experience when they graduate.
