Lupus Foundation of America launches new journal.The Lupus Foundation of America The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) is the nation's leading non-profit voluntary health organization dedicated to finding the causes of and cure for lupus. Now, a new Journal that carries information on a variety of lupus-related topics. It is published quarterly and distributed to LFA members and is available to nonmembers for $25 a year. LFA said the new title carries "the latest information" on developments in lupus research and other lupus-related topics. Editorial is designed to: keep track of ongoing research; identify clinical trials that need enrollees; cover "Seal of Approval" materials; and, carry news about associations and related lupus groups. Initial issues include stories on such topics as: lupus in men; informing employers; causes; new therapies; an overview of diagnosing and laboratory tests; current results for hormonal hormonal, adj/n beneficial component in some essential oils that helps to bring hormone secretions to normal levels. hormonal emanating from or pertaining to hormones. and biological treatments; communications between doctor and patient; drug news; and, pain management. It also carries summaries of scientific meetings and conferences. |
