workstation hardware, software and networking products.

GTSI will offer the multifunction Lumina 2000 as well as traditional fax machines to Federal Government agencies, contractors and subcontractors under Schedule 58 (No. GS-35F-1082D).

The Lumina 2000 is a fully featured plain paper fax machine, scanner and copier that functions as a standalone fax and copy machine or as a highly versatile multifunction device when connected to the parallel port of a PC.

It interfaces with most popular printers, which means that users can select the printing device most appropriate for their needs or use their existing printer. As a standalone fax machine, the Lumina compares favorably to products costing five times as much. Recently, the company enhanced the original Lumina 2000 with the addition of OCR OCR

 and electronic filing software.

"The Lumina 2000 is the perfect product to meet budget demands associated with the government market," said Steven Cason, Lumina's vice president of sales. "By using existing printers, the Lumina 2000 offers government customers powerful, affordable multifunction capability while protecting their initial investment and avoiding ongoing costs associated with consumables such as special toner. In addition, Lumina users are free to upgrade as today's rapidly changing printer technology evolves, without duplicating any office equipment."

"Because the Lumina 2000 can be used with existing equipment, it adds value and offers a great solution to our customers," said Roman Ferrer, Team Leader, Peripherals Marketing, at GTSI. "The Lumina 2000 is well suited to performing multifunctional tasks in a government environment which is increasingly cost-conscious."

Founded in 1994, Lumina Office Products designs, manufactures and markets multifunction peripherals offering plain paper fax, copier and scanner capabilities in a single fax machine-based unit that easily connects to an inkjet or laser printer. The company is wholly owned by Stylus Assets Limited and maintains offices in Sunnyvale, Calif.; Taipei, Taiwan; Shenzhen, China; and Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov. .

Headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, GTSI is recognized as the foremost "one-stop" provider of office automation technology-based solutions, offering approximately 50,000 information technology products from more than 500 leading manufacturers.
