SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1999--Expanding its reach into the color imaging market, Lumina Office Products will showcase its new Large Format Color Copier, the LFC-1100, at the DPI show in Reno, March 11-13.

Amazingly simple to use, the LFC-1100 connects directly to a large format printer to convert small-format originals into poster size enlargements. Introduced at a list price of $995, the LFC1100 produces colorful, presentation-quality, poster-size images at the push of a button.

Unlike most scanning solutions, the LFC-1100 requires no computer interaction, and requires no special training. The end user simply places their original on the LFC-1100 glass, uses the keypad to set the desired width of the output, and presses the "Color Copy" button.

The LFC-1100 automatically sizes the image and an enlarged copy prints out on the large format printer. Affordably priced at $995 the LFC 1100 is a unique bundle unit for large format printers such as the Hewlett Packard Designjet series and the Encad Chroma24.

The LFC-1100 is an ideal solution for film labs, copy shops, reprographic centers, corporate communications, and courtroom graphics.

The LFC-1100 connects to the printer via a parallel port connection. The LFC supports HP GL-2 compatible printers and PostScript 3 compatible printers. Its flatbed handles letter (8.5"x11") or A4 (8.27"x11.69") size documents.

The optional Automatic Document Feeder can handle documents up to 36" long. Features include image autosizing, with a selectable printout width up to 72". The LFC-1100 scans the image at a resolution of 300 DPI and the printout resolution is up to the maximum resolution supported by the printer. The LFC-1100 prints to a variety of media: coated, semi-gloss, glossy, photo.

The LFC-1100 is available immediately at a list price of $995, with a one-year warranty. An ADF option is available for $195. The unit weighs 12 pounds and measures 5.7" by 11.4" by 16.5".
