Lumeta Unveils ExportViewer; Enables Rapid Integration of IPsonar Network Intelligence via Web Services.

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Lumeta, the leading provider of network intelligence for enterprises and government agencies, today introduced ExportViewer, a new application within the company's flagship IPsonar(R) software suite that streamlines and automates the integration of IPsonar with 3rd party security risk management applications. With ExportViewer, IPsonar users can automate the flow of critical network intelligence in order to better protect business assets from increasingly complex security threats.

ExportViewer has been specifically developed based on extensive feedback from Lumeta customers who wanted to leverage IPsonar's unique view of IP networks via web services (1) Loosely, any online service delivered over the Web. Such usage appears in articles from non-technical sources, but not in IT-oriented publications, because definition #2 below describes the correct use of the term.  such as XML XML

Many organizations are seeking to expand their investments in security risk management solutions such as device vulnerability management, patch management The installation of patches from a software vendor onto an organization's computers. Patching thousands of PCs and servers is a major issue. A patch should be applied to test machines first before deployment, and the testing environments must represent all the users' PCs with their unique  and security information management systems. They need to have a clear picture of how networks enable communications between employees, customers and partners in order to determine whether or not security countermeasures Those protective activities required to prevent espionage, sabotage, theft, or unauthorized use of classified or controlled information, systems, or material of the Department of Defense. IPsonar provides this visibility into the operational state of network security, with ExportViewer providing the conduit for automating security risk management tasks that previously required custom integration.

"As the business value and complexity of IP networks increases, so does the level of security risk. A single unchecked network vulnerability can lead to a disruption of business operations Business operations are those activities involved in the running of a business for the purpose of producing value for the stakeholders. Compare business processes. The outcome of business operations is the harvesting of value from assets , including the loss of critical data or even a breakdown in the ability to conduct business," said David Arbeitel, Senior Vice President of Strategic Development at Lumeta. "In order to harness the power of network intelligence to manage security risk, IPsonar and its growing suite of network intelligence applications, that now includes ExportViewer, provides the ability to easily and quickly integrate IPsonar's unique perspective on what you don't know Don't know (DK, DKed)

about your network into the workflows associated with increasingly mission critical security risk management processes."

Once an IPsonar network scan has completed, IPsonar intelligence can be quickly processed via ExportViewer templates to select only the desired intelligence from IPsonar scan datasets for the task at hand. ExportViewer automates the formatting of selected information for easy export to:

--3rd party security risk management applications via their native XML formats.

--Desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel or 3rd party applications via CSV (1) (Comma Separated Value) Same as comma delimited.

ExportViewer can also be used in command line mode for embedding IPsonar export capabilities into a wide range of security risk management workflow processes.
