BOTHELL, Wash. -- Lumera Corporation (NASDAQ:LMRA), a leader in the emerging field of nanotechnology, today announced that Dr. Raluca Dinu, Vice President - Electro-Optic Business Unit, has been asked to chair one of the sessions at SPIE's conference entitled NanoScience + Engineering 2007: Nanophotonics and Macrophotonics for Space Environments. The conference is being held in San Diego. The session she will chair on August 27 at 8:30AM is entitled "Polymer/Organic Materials and Components for Space Environments."

Also on August 27, Dr. Dan Jin, Associate Director - Electro-Optic Business Unit, will present a paper entitled "Novel Hybrid Electro-Optic Modulators with Horizontal Taper Structure." A second paper entitled "Very Low Half-wave Voltage and High Electrooptic Effect in Mach-Zehnder Modulators Using Non-linear Optical Polymers" will be presented on August 30.

The NanoScience + Engineering conference is one of the largest and most important technical conferences covering developing technologies at the nanoscale, current and future applications, and the environmental, health, and safety issues that must be addressed.
