Lufkin upgrades sand prep system, retrofitting existing molding lines with new reclamation system.


Lufkin Industries Lufkin Industries NASDAQ: LUFK is a manufacturing company based in Lufkin, Texas and one of the largest employers in the city. Founded in 1902, it produces machinery such as oilfield pumping units, electrical equipment and trailers for trucks. , Lufkin, Texas, recently purchased a sand reclamation system for its existing molding lines.

Retrofitting the two lines with new reclamation equipment will allow the company, which provides a variety of customers with commercial gray and ductile iron castings, as well as oil field equipment, power transmission products and highway trailers, to reclaim more than 80 tons of used metalcasting sand per hour.
