Lucent technologies to incorporate Netonomy's services management solution into its 3G high-speed data portfolio.

Netonomy has announced that its customer self-service application A software application that allows a user to obtain information or complete a business transaction on the computer that has traditionally required the help of a human representative. Voice response systems and Web sites are widely used for self-service applications. See kiosk. , MyNetonomy, will be incorporated into Lucent Technologies' third-generation (3G) high-speed data portfolio for mobile operators. Lucent will optimize Netonomy's application to work with its 3G mobile network solutions, enabling Lucent's mobility customers to help enterprises more easily deploy 3G data services.

MyNetonomy provides a wide range of self-provisioning and online enterprise account management capabilities that give business administrators and employees a simple, user friendly means of activating and managing their corporate and individual 3G data accounts and services. This can help mobile operators reduce operational expenses associated with calls to a customer service center and improve customer service by giving enterprises and their end-users greater control over their accounts.

"We believe that enterprises will be the early adopters of 3G high-speed data services offered by mobile operators, and our best-of-breed self-service provisioning and enterprise account management application will make it easier for companies to deploy these services," commented John Hughes
