EasyJet has now won UK traffic rights to Istanbul. Istanbul is the latest destination for the budget airlines. Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, across the Bosporus on the Asian side of the city, and will introduce flights on 1 August from Luton, initially on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays increasing to daily from September 4. Southwest Airlines has raised fares by $3 or $10 for one-way trips, one of its largest increases ever, and boosted the limit on its refundable fare to $319. The weekend fare hike was the fourth broad fare increase by the nation's leading low-cost carrier this year and the ninth in the past two years. The company said it raised one-way fares by $10 on flights longer than 1,000 miles and $3 on flights of 751 miles to 1,000 miles. Shorter flights were not affected, said spokeswoman Paula Berg. Wizz Air announced the addition of nine new routes from Romania beginning with Targu Mures-Budapest from July 14. Flights from Bucharest Baneasa to Barcelona, Budapest, Dortmund, London Luton and Rome Ciampino, Arad to Milan Bergamo and Targu Mures Mu·re·   or Mu·reul  to Barcelona and Rome Ciampino will begin on Jan. 15.
