Love That Label.


You gotta hand it to Fruit Works. The elegant hues of its labels are to die for. Even the color of the beverage is appealing.

And then there are the words. What would you expect from a "Strawberry Melon melon, fruit of Cucumis melo, a plant of the family Curcurbitaceae (gourd family) native to Asia and now cultivated extensively in warm regions. There are many varieties, differing in taste, color, and skin texture—e.g.  Non-Carbonated Real Fruit Beverage" with "100% Vitamin C vitamin C
 or ascorbic acid

Water-soluble organic compound important in animal metabolism. Most animals produce it in their bodies, but humans, other primates, and guinea pigs need it in the diet to prevent scurvy.
" made by a company called Fruit Works? A bottle of strawberry and melon juice, perhaps?

Here's a hint: Fruit Works is owned by Pepsi. The "Real Fruit Beverage" turns out to be 95 percent sugar and water. It's rive rive
