Written by Marie-Catherine Desjardins and translated by Roxanne Decker Lalande, Love Notes and Letters is the first English translation of two works by 17th-century French writer Marie-Catherine Desjardins, better known as Madame de Villedieu. The first, "Love Notes and Letters", was a collection of her most intimate letters to her lover, Antoine de Villedieu, and the second, "The Letter Case", was an epistolary novel epistolary novel
