The Fearless Caregiver Conference provides practical information, advice and support for family and professional caregivers. The conference is designed to help attendees receive hands-on advice for his or her caregiving challenges and will be lead by Gary Barg, Editor-in-Chief of Today's Caregiver Magazine and caregiver.com. Mr. Barg, a noted national speaker, writer and publisher on the topic of caregiving since 1995, is also author of the award-winning book, The Fearless Caregiver. Says Barg, "The first time we brought the Fearless Caregiver conference to Louisville was December 5, 2002. Of course, that day it snowed more than in the past fifty years, but we were happily surprised that almost half of the attendees braved the weather and showed up. And it was a truly terrific day for all. We are excited to see what can happen without five inches of snow!" The Fearless Caregiver Conference was founded with the belief that creating dialogue between all parties involved in caregiving not only provides valuable education for caregivers, but allows them to realize that they are not alone. The conference features advice on topics such as finding help for new caregivers, financial, legal and insurance issues, preventing senior scams, taking advantage of community resources and learning to increase family involvement.
