Public transit has unique needs and Mincom's mass transit-specific solution and industry knowledge addressed virtually all of our requirements."

Two aspects of the Mincom offer stood out: First, Mincom was able to satisfy 95% of TARC's requirements without costly technology build outs. Second, Mincom's LinkOne online parts manuals will enable TARC to streamline and centralize repair and maintenance parts procurement and position the transit organization to leverage savings from e-Business opportunities.

"Mass transportation districts face pressures to operate more efficiently, reduce spares, cut costs and build ridership. To satisfy those needs, organizations like TARC need transportation specific solutions created by companies that understand their unique needs," said Larry Hagewood, President of Mincom North America.

Mincom will support the future expansion plans of TARC. The anticipated go-live for the initial installation of Ellipse Open Enterprise is March of 2002.
