The NESC Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m. at The New York Botanical Gardens in Bronx, N.Y. In addition to recognizing Mr. Duffy for his lifetime achievement in the legal profession, the NESC will also honor three of its most outstanding volunteers: Eleanor Holtzman, A. Wright Elliot and Gerald D. Levy.

"After more than 25 years of service to its customers, the NESC felt it was time to celebrate the professionals who are still thriving in the later years of their careers," added Prozes. "To raise the bar high on this exciting evening, we have compiled an A-List group of presenters and speakers who share a similar passion for excellence with Lou Duffy."

Serving as the Master of Ceremonies will be the president of CNN/U.S., Jonathan Klein. Speakers and presenters for the evening will include: The Honorable Richard Blumenthal, Connecticut Attorney General; National Legal Commentator Alan S. Kopit, managing partner of Hahn Loeser & Parks, LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  in Cleveland; and President-Elect of the American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law  Karen Mathis, partner at MecElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP. 300 people from the legal and nonprofit communities are expected to attend.

Tickets to the event are $1,000 each, though availability is limited. All proceeds from the event will benefit the NESC.
