art through to really accessible comedy and club nights."

Who attends?

"There are equal numbers of men and women, so lesbians obviously don't feel excluded in the way they often do in gay clubs. Our audience figures, by the way, doubled in 2002 from the year before. This year promises to be even bigger."

Why is Glasgow such a hot gay destination?

"The gay scene in Glasgow is really active and the gay venues themselves are fantastic. Glasgow is famous for its friendliness. A recent survey revealed that if you smile at people in the street in Glasgow, 80% of people will smile back. Edinburgh scored just 25% and London only 10%!"
